A brown bear at the Beijing zoo. It was so upsetting to watch. The bear would beg with it's paws and people would throw in scraps of food and water bottle caps. The area it was caged in was completely horrible. It was one big, cement prison.

Elephant Ear

The ear of the elephant Katie and I rode in Laos. When I converted the photo to black-and-white it reminded me more of the coat of a cheetah or leopard. I think it's amazing how patterns in nature appear in so many different places. Unfortunately it came out kind of blurry since the elephant was moving (obviously).

One of the jade chariots unearthed in the BingMaYong tomb. The horses are half the size of life-size horses. So many people were crowded around looking at this historical artifact.

After visiting the South City Wall, Katie and I walked around the local streets in the area. We found this street market with tons of calligraphy, painting's, brushes, stencils and more. This little boy was waiting for his Mum (in the background), and was just so adorable.

This weekend Katie and I took a trip to Xi'an, famous for their terracotta warriors. They really were amazing. There were just so many, and up to this day they continue to uncover more and more.
