Water surrounding the Water Cube in Beijing. I like this picture better when you zoom in.

Amber Lady
December 2010
Another vendor at the dirt market. She sold tons and tons of amber, in every shape and form.

Dirt Market Man
December 2010
On our last weekend in Beijing we went to the dirt market, a huge market full of antiques, paintings, jewelry, pottery, carvings and much more. This cute old man was selling jewelry at his stall.

Chinese Chef
December 2010
A chef from one of the many restaurants in HoHai. The area is full of little old-fashioned "hutongs," old market streets.

Beijing Zoo
December 2010
A brown bear at the Beijing zoo. It was so upsetting to watch. The bear would beg with it's paws and people would throw in scraps of food and water bottle caps. The area it was caged in was completely horrible. It was one big, cement prison.

Fish Face
December 2010
Another fish at the Beijing Aquarium. I love when they face you, even though I guess technically they're not looking at you since their eyes are on the side of their head.

Jellyfish
December 2010
For my 20th birthday Katie and I went to the Beijing Aquarium. I loved the jellyfish display. It's tentacles remind me of a flame.

Chinese Newspaper
October 2010
Along the long corridor at the Temple of Heaven, tons of locals came to hang out, chat, play cards or mahjong, and read. I loved watching what they all were doing.

Temple Ceiling
October 2010
The ceiling of one of the temples in the Temple of Heaven area. I loved how colourful and ornate it all was. When looking at Chinese temples, I always make sure to glance at the ceiling. Most of the time they are like this.
