On our last day in Laos, Katie and I biked around Luang Prabang looking at all the temples. We found this beautiful statue around the Wat Xieng Thong temple.

Rice Pots

Rice used to make rice wine. It's kept in these pots for several weeks to dry it out.

Mekong River Taxi

We took this boat across the Mekong River to visit the Pak Ou caves. This boatman wasn't very camera friendly, but he looked like such a character with his pink shirt that I couldn't help but sneak a shot! He reminds me of an Asian version of my sailing coach. Also fun fact about Laos: the taxi's (including boat one's) wait for you while you do your various activities.

Elephant Eye

This is the elephant Ang that we rode and swam with. Their eyes are just amazing, they seem to hold so much wisdom.
