The King of Candy Apples

On college tours (again) we took some time off to walk around one of the many New York markets. I had no clue there could be a whole stand dedicated to candy apples. I also love the woman's expression in the photo.

Mt. Rose
January 2010
My Dad and I went skiing one day at Mt. Rose. Basically our day was spent not on any runs, but making our own paths through the trees and thick powder. At one point it was snowing super heavily, but the sun was out also. Always a strange combination. My favourite part (apart from snowboarding) is how the snowflakes glisten in the sun.

Zoo Lights

During Christmas in Colorado, the Denver Zoo decorates with hundreds of colourful lights. At night you can walk around it and see the animals in a completely different light.

Spring Blossom

When spring hits Colorado, the blossom trees just burst. I find them one of the most beautiful (and best smelling) trees around. In our garden we luckily have a few planted around and one day they just looked so pretty I had to take pictures.

While having dinner on the balcony, this amazing sunset filled the sky. A picture in no way captures how stunning it was, with the colours reflecting onto the surrounding mountains, and the whole sky filled with light.

A Dream in Pink

While on college trips, my Mum and I took a brief detour to visit ABC Home in New York City. I loved it and all of the crazily ornate decorations. This part was one of my favourites. With the pink plush cushions, along with the magenta drapery, it just reminded me of an Indian Palace.
